The highly anticipated race meet of the Sydney Autumn Racing Carnival is taking place this Saturday in the Golden Slipper Day, and will be held at the Rosehill Garden’s Racecourse, with the Group 3 Star Kingdom Stakes (1100m) rounding off the day’s events.
Taking place a 5.30pm, after eight other great races have been completed, the Star Kingdom Stakes will provide a great finish to a top day of racing as ten horses will fight over the turf for a share in the $125,000 purse.
Drawing the inside barrier is the Rosehill gelding, Flushing Meadows. The six-year-old will need to take advantage of the inside barrier start to provide on Saturday.
Favourites Welkom Gold and Dorf Command drew the middle fourth and seventh barriers respectively.
Out wide will be Innings, trained by Ron Leemon, and not having raced this year, will hope to find form he finished 2009 with despite the barrier draw when he starts on Saturday.
Elsewhere, favourites Welkom Gold and Dorf Command drew the middle fourth and seventh barriers respectively.
Also taking place on Saturday at Rosehill will be the Group 1 Golden Slipper Stakes (1200m), the Group 1 The BMW and the Group 2 Myer Tulloch Stakes (2000m).
